A capture-the-flag challenge gives you a problem to investigate and an answer to submit. Start with one challenge and follow its objective.

1. Create your account

Register or sign in. Read the event rules before you begin.

2. Choose a challenge

Open Challenges. Read the description, download any provided artifacts, and note the required answer format. Categories group related skills; point values describe the scoring, not a guaranteed difficulty.

3. Investigate

Keep notes on what you observed, what you inferred, and what you still need to verify. Use only the systems or artifacts named in the challenge. Hints may cost points; check the displayed cost before unlocking one.

4. Submit your answer

Enter the exact flag in the challenge dialog. Follow its spelling, case, and formatting instructions. A correct submission marks the challenge solved. If points are dynamic, their value can change as more people solve it.

5. Track your learning

My Progress shows your completed challenges. Write down the evidence that led to the answer so you can explain your reasoning afterward.
